Fundraising fete photo

Ever thought about running with the greats in the Virgin London Marathon? How about setting-up a team to take part in a thrilling Dragon Boat Race or cycling 24 miles in a Virtual Cycle Ride? Or how about something a little more relaxing like organising a coffee morning, pub quiz, or fete stand? The great thing about fundraising for KAB is you get the chance to do something you enjoy whilst raising money for a good cause!

If you're stuck for inspiration or want to know how our Fundraising Team can help you get started, have a look at our Community Fundraising Pack. We also have a dedicated pack for schools and children's groups which can be downloaded here. Whatever your age, the more fun you have the more money you'll raise, so be sure you choose something you really love doing!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in a fundraising event last year; you’ve raised over  £60, 000! Your hard work and energy will do so much to help sight impaired people in the region live independent lives.

Cup of Tea poster2016We would love you to organise a cake sale or coffee morning for KAB; community events like this are a really important part of our work as they not only raise vital funds for us, but also raise awareness of sight loss and the importance of good eye health. It's a great opportunity to ask when people last had their eyes tested. What about their parents or children? Everyone should have an eye test every two years even if there has been no change to their vision.

Stepping out for sight lossFancy taking part in a sporting fundraising event? Each year we offer supporters the chance to take part in special events to raise money for services for people with sight impairments.

  • Assault Course Challenge
  • London to Brighton cycle ride
